Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Considering the school closures, we are currently planning to stay open for as long as we can, as we are fully staffed and are closely following the hygiene guidelines issued by the government.

Keeping with previous information that was put out on social media, pupils will be made to wash hands upon and leaving the dance school. There will also be a high level of social distancing between pupils whilst the lesson is taking place.

However, I have made the decision to suspend Tiddly Tots classes until further notice.

We are currently looking into providing online tuition and video clips to help students keep up their practice at home should a lock down be enforced.

This has had a knock-on effect to our up and coming events:

Planned examination session 25th April – Cancelled

Any paid exam fees will be frozen until the next session

Dear Member,

IDTA Examinations

Following Government statements this week and measures being put in place due to the escalation of the COVID-19 worldwide, the IDTA has suspended the dance examinations service from today, 19 March. Planned dance examinations from Friday 20th March will be postponed until further notice. The situation will be reviewed at the end of April and a further statement issued.

The decision is for the safety of our teachers, candidates, parents, examiners and staff.

We will continue to update the IDTA website and email updates to you.

These are exceptional times and we need to ensure everyone's safety.

Planned Musical Theatre Show 9th May – Glusburn Theatre - Cancelled

Currently Glusburn Theatre have posted on their website that all events are cancelled until June, I have received  an email from them and are in talks with them regarding a new date, we will freeze all ticket orders and payments until new dates are confirmed, we plan to continue and the show must go on!

Anniversary show Photographs and ordered uniform.

These have all been ordered and if in the event of a lock down we will try deliver these to you as soon as they are ready, unpaid items will be able to be collected at the school.

We hope to see as many of you as possible in class and understand there will be families who wish to stay away until a later date.  We would like to reinforce if you or a family member is feeling unwell, please stay at home, if your child is attending class remember to ask them to wash their hands before and after class.

Wishing everybody well in this frustrating and uncertain time, and hopefully we will be back to normality very soon.

Stay Safe
